As we draw nearer to election day, I know tensions and excitement are increasing. Having watched all of the debates, I found it a bit “ironic” that moral issues were glazed over. Terribly sad in my opinion. It seemed to convey that morality simply doesn’t matter. No doubt, come January, history will be made for the United States of America’s Presidential Office. Either we will have a man of color as President or a woman as Vice President. Though history will be made either racially or gender wise, the main issue is where are these leaders taking us? What policies are they looking to establish, strengthen or weaken, etc.
(If you’re an Obama supporter, you might as well stop reading now. If you’re willing to objectively assess this man and can do so without losing it emotionally, then keep reading.)
Up until this point, I have repeatedly asked people why are they supporting Obama. 2 in 15 gave me something of more substance than “It’s time for change.” I would like to think if this man is going to earn votes, people would at least have some justifiable reason to offer rather than whimsically parroting his campaign slogan. It’s sad that many people are voting for him simply because he’s black. I find that rather imbecilic and irresponsible.
What’s even more disheartening for me is the number of Christians I know that are supporting him. For me, one issue matters. His stance on abortion. Sadly, many professing Christians seem absolutely unfazed by systematic planned murder, while the Spirit is continually grieved.
As educated, thinking Christians, we need to make decisions consistent with our faith. We need to demonstrate a comprehensive faith! Obama kills it for me with his stance on abortion! There’s no way I would EVER vote for this man! Here are some reasons. . .
- Do you know that Congress gives $300 million dollars (from our taxes) a year to help Planned Parenthood operate? Research “Title X”.
Cursed is the man who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.
Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty.
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood
“Some go so far as to take potions, that they may insure barrenness, and thus murder human beings almost before their conception. Some, when they find themselves with child through their sin, use drugs to procure abortion, and when, as often happens, they die with their offspring, they enter the lower world laden with the guilt not only of adultery against Christ but also of suicide and child murder”

Houston area pastor, Voddie Baucham, shared his thoughts on this situation.
Believer, consider these things….
